Second Chances
Congrats to Ted Williams! Radio is "theater of mind". Humanity is about second chances. There are many many homesless people in our country begging for a second chance. Some may ask "Do they really want to put in the work or do they just want a hand out"? There are probably some of both. Mr. William's stood along a cold highway promoting his gift and someone heard him. Now he is getting job offers left and right. He admits he made mistakes but does that mean he doesn't deserve to live a better life? There have been times in my life where I would have been jealous of Mr. William's current raging success. I would love a career in the entertainment business. This year, 2011, however I am taking a different approach. Good for him!!! I am geniunely happy for this man. Everyone deserves a second chance. His story is one of those "feel good" stories. It makes me smile to know that he has overcome adversity and it was noticed. And kudos to these major companies willing to take a chance on an unknown person. I hope there is a lesson for all in this story. As Mr. William's stated on The Today Show this morning "don't judge a book by it's cover". Looking and being are two different things. I also hope a lesson is learned for companies willing to hire real people for real jobs. Just because someone has a 4 year college degree, wears Itlaian suits and drives a sports car doesn't mean that person would do a better job than someone off the street. Everyone deserves a chance, first or second! Congrats to everyone who has overcome trials and tribulations in their lives when no one thought they would! :-)

Decisions. . .
I started taking down the Christmas decorations in my office today and decided that I really want to nice, fresh start to 2011. I want to be happy. I want the people around me to be happy. I want to clear the clutter from my life. I started with taking the yellow and orange sticky notes off the hutch on my desk. Looks like a good start.

Welcome to my life
Not sure where to begin. . . I have never blogged before. I have read some blogs. Some good and some, well, not so good. I guess I can just do "a day in the life" of me!
More later. . . Have a great day!
